i was musing on how many small churches there are.

I remember a person who was studying being puzzled by the lack of halls in the district.
They asked if Christendom was the false religion and the JWs were the true, why is it that every town and village had a church or more whereas the Witnesses had only one every 60 miles or so?
At the time we reasoned the usual "Satan's blinded the minds etc," but in time we moved around to their way of thinking.
